SCHEDULE UPDATE TO REUNION

Hello everyone! Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Homecoming Game has been changed from the original date of October 14th to sometime in September. In addition, the home game against Wyandotte that night has been changed to an away game. We were unable to arrange for the game to be moved back as a home game. Therefore, THERE WILL BE NO HOME FOOTBALL GAME AT PIONEER STADIUM ON FRIDAY (10/14) AT 7:00 PM (spread the word).

To make things simpler, WE WILL START OUR MEET AND GREET AT HIGH NOON SALOON EARLY ON FRIDAY NIGHT, at 8:30 pm instead of 10:00 pm (also spread the word). All schedules and RSVP forms have been updated to reflect this change.

Sorry about the last minute change, but at this point, it's too late to change anything because a lot of people have already arranged travel plans and time off work. Everything else on Saturday is still the same! See you in 5 weeks!!!! :)

It's what you've been waiting for...time to RSVP for the Reunion!You and your guests are cordially invited to the Leavenworth High School Class of 2001 Ten Year Class Reunion, to be held Friday and Saturday, October 14-15, 2011. Schedule of Events:

Friday, 8:30 pm, Meet and Greet
Say hello to your old classmates and join us for drinks and conversation at this informal gathering. We will have our own reserved section. There will be a live band or DJ later in the night and drink specials all night long. Adults only please.
- Location: High Noon Saloon (206 Choctaw Street)
- Cost: Your own food and drinks
Saturday, 10:30 am, Guided tour of the newly renovated LHS
Come see what LHS looks like after $24 million in renovations! Children welcome!
- Location: Meet at the front entrance to LHS
- Cost: Free
Saturday, 12:30 pm, Class Picnic
Join us for lunch, catching up, and games (feel free to bring a football, basketball, bats and gloves, horseshoes, etc.). NO ALCOHOL please. Children welcome!
- Location: Hawthorne Park picnic shelter (Grand Avenue, between Kansas and Ohio)
- Cost: $7 per adult, $3 per child age 6 and over
Saturday, 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Class Reunion MAIN EVENT
You won't want to miss this! Join us for a night of food, drinks, music, dancing, games, prizes, and reminiscing about old times. Cocktail hour from 6-7pm, with cash bar (we may be able to subsidize some drinks). Dinner starts at 7pm and will be catered by All Slabbed Up BBQ. Our DJ will spin favorites, and we'll dance the night away! Adults only please.
- Location: Leavenworth Event Center (3501 South 4th Street Trafficway, across from the old Wal-Mart)
- Cost: $30 per person

We also have Reunion t-shirts available for purchase. Your purchase helps us get you fancier stuff for Reunion. If you'd like to buy one, you must pre-order...we will not be printing any extra to sell during Reunion. Cost is $10 each for youth sizes (YXS, YS, YM, YL, YXL) and adult sizes (S, M, L, XL). Cost is $13 each for adult XXL and XXXL. T-shirts will be handed out during Reunion. If you need help with picking a size, click here.
Accomodations: If you need a hotel, we'd recommend the Days Inn in Leavenworth, Econo Lodge in Lansing, or Holiday Inn Express in Lansing (most expensive).

We need your help! We have been able to find 304 out of 379 classmates, which means that we are ONLY missing 75! The following is a list of graduates from our Class of 2001 who we have not been able to locate on Facebook and do not have contact information for at the moment. DONNA BELL
After graduating from LHS, Donna attended the University of Missouri Kansas City, majoring in Liberal Arts and minoring in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work from UMKC. She lives in Kansas City, MO and works as an Event and Wedding Planner at her own business Lovely Designs LLC.





LESLEY WEAVERLING
After graduating from LHS, Lesley went to Missouri State University where she swam for four years. She graduated with an accounting degree and had so much fun, she decided to stay to get her Masters of Accountancy. She graduated with her Masters in 2007 and moved back to the Kansas City area to crunch numbers for a living. When she's not busy changing peoples' perception of accountants, she's cheering on her numerous sports teams (Missouri State, Jayhawks, Steelers, Chiefs, to name a few) or traveling.




WENFEI XIE
After graduating from LHS, Wenfei attended Stanford University and received a BA in Human Biology. She went on to complete medical school at the University of Michigan, is currently completing her residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan, and is very much looking forward to becoming a Pimple Popper MD. Her parents sold Hunans in 2003 and also moved to Michigan. Wenfei currently lives in Ann Arbor, MI with her boyfriend Justin who is a KU grad and will be cheering on the Jayhawks all month.

Hello Class of 2001 Pioneer Alum! This will (hopefully) be the official website of our 10 YEAR CLASS REUNION!! First thing's first: WHEN WILL IT BE??? That is yet to be determined, but let us know what you think by VOTING in the poll on the right! The most logical choices are probably either 1) sometime during the 2011 football season or 2) during December when more people may be around the area for the holidays. But, the downside of option 2 is that people may be busy with family obligations. Feel free to make your own suggestions too in the survey.

Also, please fill out the contact form (on the right). I promise I won't stalk you or sell your information to anyone. :)

This site will be a definite work in progress, but I'll try to keep everyone updated as more concrete plans are developed...just trying to get things off the ground for now.
